Children's Ministries

The Children’s Ministry of McCarthy Baptist Church offers an exciting, Christ-centered experience for kids, and is built around two main time slots:

Sunday Mornings

Sunday School -- 9:00 to 10:15 AM

  • Meet Downstairs in the Children's Wing

Children's Church (Age 4-2nd Grade)

  • The pastor will dismiss children from the age of 4 through 2nd grade to Children's Church as he begins his sermon. Although we welcome any child this age to go for Children's Church, it is not a requirement. Children are welcome to stay with their parents for the entire service. If you are sending your child to Children's Church for the first time, we ask that a parent goes with the child to register them.
  • Meet in Room 209

Wednesday Evenings

TeamKID 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

  • Meets in the Lower Level of the Activities Building

For children ages 4 years old through 6th grade (preschoolers must be potty-trained)
Exciting team games, Scripture lessons and memory, missions, and snacks.

Nursery (Birth-3 Years Old)

Nursery is provided Sundays during Sunday School and the worship service. It is also provided Wednesday evening from 6:00PM to 7:00PM. The Nursery is located downstairs in the Children's Wing.

Special Events

Throughout the year, McCarthy Baptist may sponsor periodic events that are designed not only for the kids in the church, but as a community outreach, as well. For details about each of these events, watch the Latest News section of the website.

Child Safety

Your child’s safety is a top priority for our church. When you bring your child to the Children’s Wing on Sundays, he or she will receive an ID sticker that matches your sticker. On Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, parents will be called on their cell phone if they are needed for any reason.  All of our children’s workers are screened and go through a background check before working with kids. Taking care of your children is a trust we don’t take lightly.
