McCarthy Baptist Church Public Worship Guidelines

McCarthy Baptist Church Public Worship Guidelines

Updated 6/29/2020

  • Worship Service will take place at 10:30AM in the Sanctuary.
  • We will not have Breakfast, or other Church Activities at this time. Sunday School and Nursery will resume Sunday July 12  at 9:00AM.
  • The church will open at 8:30AM. You can enter through either the top or bottom entrances.
  • Children's Church will be open for children ages 4-2nd grade. If you have children ages 4-2nd grade who would like to attend Children's Church, please step out in the lobby with them when they are dismissed from worship so you can register them.
  • We will continue to offer the worship service online on our Facebook page.

For your safety, we ask you to abide by the following guidelines:

  • If you are not feeling well, we strongly urge you to stay home for your safety and the well-being of others.
  • If you feel uncertain or feel uncomfortable about resuming public worship, we encourage you to remain home until a later date.
  • Let us show love and respect to one another as we each act in accordance with our conscience in this unique time (Colossians 3:12-14).
  • As always, we value the family. The family is a gift of God. We encourage your whole family to attend, including small children.
  • NO physical contact is advised (Hugs, handshakes, elbow bumps, and so forth).
  • Wearing a mask or other personal protective equipment is not required but welcomed. We will not provide masks to use in the service, but hand sanitizer will be available at both entrances.
  • Keep Social Distancing as you enter and as you leave the building.
  • As you enter the sanctuary, a church representative will be available to help you find a seat.
  • Families living under the same roof can sit together but are encouraged to maintain 6 feet from other families/individuals.
  • With limited seating capacity, we will have overflow space available in the Fellowship Hall if needed. In the unexpected case that we reach our capacity, we may be unable to accommodate all those seeking to attend.
  • At the conclusion of the service, the congregation will be dismissed in a directed way to facilitate Social Distancing.
  • We will not be collecting the offering in the traditional way during the service, but we encourage you to give in the yellow collection box that will be set up in the lobby. You can also give online.

*These plans and guidelines are subject to change. We will communicate any changes as soon as possible. Stay up to date at or on our Facebook page.
